Introduction and personal background
Hello readers and curious folks stumbling upon JustLj.com, I am Logan J. Eccles, or just Lj for short. Life has taken me through many ups and downs, where I wasn’t being my authentic self, and therefore, I was not happy. I am pleased to say I am happy as can be now as just Lj. I always wanted to go by Lj but never had the courage to speak up, so the JustLj brand stands for being your authentic self and speaking out about it.
I was born and raised in Texas to a family of nine. I was and am the baby of the family, which was quite challenging to live with. Not only that, but I also had a speech impediment as a child, which only made things worse. My life didn’t really start until I tried to take it. Once I knew I was living with mental illness, my life took on a new purpose. I began writing as a coping mechanism for my depression and anxiety.
Writing journey and influences
Now, I write so others don’t feel alone in their loneliness and voicelessness. I studied at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in English and Creative Writing in 2024. I mostly write poetry, but I also write short stories sometimes. I write contemporary and fantasy in the YA genre. My biggest influences are Shel Silverstein, Lucille Cliffton, and William Blake.
